The Nutcracker

The Little Miss recently had her very first recital for ballet. She was a little mouse in the Nutcracker. Mommy was less that thrilled about the costume she had to wear and she even asked why she couldn't wear a cute tutu and bow in her hair. She loved wearing the ears and having a tail, so she did just fine. Especially since she got to put on "nakeup" or makeup as it is normally pronounced. She got fancy with blush and lip gloss.

Here is a video from her scene. All 60 seconds of it! We thought she would have stage fright since she tends to get really scared and cry when people look at her. Plus when we would told her about dancing in "The Nutcracker" she would say "No, I'm scared of the Nutcracker" We stopped reminding her and kept our fingers crossed that she would be ok the day of her show. Obviously we have quite a ham on our hands. She did awesome and we were so proud of her.



We still crack up watching this video. We really did not expect her to do that, it was so cute though!! I was almost positive that after everyone laughed she was going to cry but she just stopped and turned on her serious ballerina face and got down to business. Arms up and toes pointed...just like they did in class. She nailed it :)
