Look who's going to be FOUR soon!!

We had a mini celebration this past weekend with Grandma & Grandpa Clarin, the Pismo Beach Clarin's and the Silver Creek Manuels :) Thank You for celebrating with us at Chuck E Cheese. It was a kick off to the Little Man's birthday week and a great day spent with Grandma and Grandpa before they headed off overseas. We will miss you Gma & Gpa Clarin!! Our Birthday Star

My Snow White

So since I'm on a roll uploading pictures and I can't sleep, here is a little video clip of the Little Miss while we were at Disney's Princess Classics on Ice. It was just mommy/daughter time and she enjoyed every minute of the 1hr30min show. Waved to every princess and screamed with excitement when Mickey and Minnie made their appearance. She still speaks a language that only mommy's and daddy's understand so she's saying "I gonna be da snoooow white" aka I'm gonna be Snow White

Happy Halloween!

So I basically skipped over the entire month of October but we will bring that blogging month to a close by sharing the kids halloween costumes. Trick or Treating was pretty quiet on our street since all the kids stay over on the main road. The kids had fun and Kayla pretty much looked like this the whole night or she was knocking on doors YELLING "trick or treat" lol...she would cover her face around any spooky looking houses (i don't blame her) but this was near a neighbors house that was decked out in all it's spooky goodness.

On to the costumes:

Miss Minnie Mouse...costume #1, which was almost ruined thanks to the after effects of giant sized sugar filled Juicy Apple Juice she had at her brothers preschool halloween party. Mommy was very glad she layered clothes underneath that dress ;) After wrestling her to take off the costume (which she refused to do) mommy was able to change her diaper. Needless to say, we will be banning the Little Miss from having that much juice in one sitting....her tummy does not like it.


Princess Snow White & Bumble Bee the Tranformer....I love her in her Snow White costume, she probably could play the part since she LOVES to sing and dance around. Here she is singing and dancing in the grass while we wait for daddy to get home from work. Very Princess-y right? Hands in the air waving side to side. You can almost hear the birds singing along and see the little bunnies and deer come out around her.


Lastly, this is a clip of Little Man wearing his cool costume that actually TRANSFORMS!! Mommy was a chronic youtuber watching clips over 100 times just to get the design right. In the end procrastination got the best of mommy and it wasn't exactly complete AND Little Man refused to wear it while going trick or treating! The plan WAS to have him in his "car form" (it's suppose to be a Chevy Camaro but quickly became a hoopty lowrider or somethin) and when the people open the door he'd stand and "transform" but NOPE...not interested. He didn't even wear his mask, so he was that kid that you see wondering what the heck he is (if you aren't familiar with Transformers) all he had on was his jumpsuit *roll eyes*

So listen closely to the end of this raw clip...it was like pulling teeth to get this video.



Did you hear him...."HERE!" he was so done with mama's hooptie car. All that agony cutting cardboard and layers of spray paint. He sure did love that thing before Halloween night.

Swim Class: Skills Check

Here is a clip of Little Man at swim class! This was his last skill to complete before earning his Intermediate ribbon! However, if he was to fall into a pool today I'm not so sure what would happen to him, so we will be continuing his lessons till the end of the year and working on everything he learns. Maybe next summer we will have a mini Michael Phelps on our hands, but we won't hold our expectations that high.

First Day of Pre Kindergarten

Today is Back to School day and the Little Man's first day of Pre Kindergarten. He was very excited this morning and didn't want to finish his breakfast! Both kids got out of bed without any drama and graciously followed Mommy's instructions to eat, brush teeth and change clothes. Mommy was a happy camper! Mommy also got up extra early to insure we left the house on time and drama free (something we almost didn't do) Before driving off to school we took official "first day of school" pictures.

Little Man sure is a splitting image of his Daddy, he is definitely a mini clone.The Little Miss was very excited for school as well. Little did she know that we wouldn't be staying in the class with her brother today and she wasn't too happy about that when we left his classroom. She refused to get into the car and tried to escape from mommy and run back to see her "brudder" then all while driving she would say "where brudder go mommy? Brudder at school? I go school when I big girl mommy? okay?" It was the cutest thing. She also had to carry around her very own lunch bag like her brother that was full of snacks.

So Mommy had prepared everything the night before and woke up early to get things in order BUT Mommy didn't know how to work the automatic timer on the camera which is the reason we were *almost* late when leaving the house. But Mommy was a smart cookie and got it to work. Out of the 8-10 shots we got via the timer we got one decent shot! Hooray for automatic timers :)

When we finally got to school it was a no brainer for the Little Man to find his cubby and and name tag and get down to business. He remembered some of his friends names and went straight to one of the new stations in class....the sand! All the kids loved it and they all seemed to enjoy being back in school. We are looking forward to another fun filled school year!! Happy First day of Pre-Kindergarten Little Man!

September Revival...summer recap

This summer we signed Little Man up for swim lessons (Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Clarin) and he did fantastic! He had a few rough days that involved a few tears. He earned his Beginner ribbon on his 2nd or 3rd week of class (mommy currently can't remember extactly) and he just earned his Intermediate ribbon on September 3rd (week 11)!! He can now back float by himself, swim a few yards, jump in, turn and climb out of the pool...just to name a few skills :) He is now working on treading water and perfecting the skills he has already completed. We couldn't be more proud of the Little Man for doing so well this summer!

The rest of the summer was spent having playdates with friends and going to our favorites places, The Oakland Zoo, SuperFranks, ChuckEcheese, The San Jose Childrens Museum (we are now members, woohoo) and visiting the Library. Mommy also worked on handwriting skills and set up a arts and craft area in the garage where the kids can get messy and not give mommy a heart attack. Anything that involves stickers, paint & markers seem to be their favorite type of craft. The Little Miss also LOVES showing off her letter/spelling skills and can recognize ALL the letters in the alphabet at random. She can say most of the phonics (sounds) for each letter! She is a sponge (and mommy gives credit to Leap Frog's letter factory DVD too) This little girl LOVES her books, her current favorite is Fancy Nancy and anything involving Mickey Mouse clubhouse.

Daddy and the Little Man went to a few baseball games (gotta love Dollar Wednesdays & cheap tickets) and enjoyed father & son time. They watched Daddy's favorite team, the Oakland A's and our current favorite ball player, Kurt Suzuki, who is a local boy from Hawaii! The Little Man also can sing the entire song "Take me out to the ballgame" and sang it proud at both games during the 7th inning stretch. Mommy and the Little Miss did girly things for mommy & daughter time as well. We painted our nails and danced around like princesses....and went shopping for clothes & new makeup or "nake up" as little miss calls it.

It has been a great summer and school is just around the corner! Pre-K for the Little Man and the Little Miss will be enjoying solo activities with mommy while brother is in school.

Mommy's birthDAY

Mommy's birthday (a month ago) was simple and we celebrated with YUMMY ice cream cupcakes from Cold Stone. Delicious!! Mommy didn't ask for anything special on her birthday, she has all that she could ask for!.....except for the mini-van she dreams of driving...Yes, mommy wants a mini-van! We need the space & comfort for our roadtrips!! Someday mommy's wish will be fulfilled. Daddy still refuses to own a mini-van.
